FHA streamline refinancing requires very minimal amount of documents.  Following is a list of the documents needed as well as an explanation of why we need each of these for you to discover your potential mortgage refinance savings.
  • Mortgage "Note"
The note contains your FHA case number. The FHA case number is the insurance policy number of your government insured FHA mortgage. This case number is required to re-order a new case number and the MIP insurance for your FHA streamline refinance. This is the original documents you signed that indicated the amount owed and your monthly payments. It should be between 2 to 4 letter size pages and should have the word "NOTE" at the top of the first page.

  • Current Mortgage Payment Coupon / Statement
The mortgage payment coupon contains the name of the lender, loan number, and current monthly payment. This is needed so that we can order a pay-off statement to get the exact amount of the loan we are streamline refinancing.

  • Hazard Insurance Policy
The Hazard Insurance policy or Homeowners Insurance policy is needed since it contains the name, account number, and yearly amount of the policy. This information is needed in order to request an updated policy reflecting the new lenders name as well as to enable us to quote you an exact monthly payment.

  • Copy of Social Security Card and Drivers License.
This is a FHA requirement for all FHA insured loans.

The above information is all of the basic documents needed in order to complete a typical FHA streamline refinance. This list may vary slightly on a case by case basis. By gathering these basic documents you will be properly prepared to insure a truly "streamline" refinance of your FHA loan.
